Interview with Sarah:
You have quite a different background from the rest of the Five Tier employees, can you discuss how you got started with the company and how the initial interactions started?
A: Irish people are everywhere and it is impossible to go anywhere in the world, meet an Irish person and not have some connection with them! I met Frank through a previous employer of mine when I worked in NY in 2016. We met in a Starbucks back in March I believe and didn’t speak again until August. Frank reached out to me and said he had liked me but never knew where I would fit in but he now knew where I could fit within the company! I began working with Five Tier in August 2018, and at that point there was only 4 others in the office so we have grown a lot since then!
I come from a product design background and I think one of the things Frank liked about me was that I had a “product” background and he constantly emphasizes how we are a product based company rather than service based. I studied business & marketing for the 4 years as part of my degree so I suppose I have somewhat of a knowledge of marketing so I wasn’t joining Five Tier completely blind!
What is it you do with Five Tier?
A lot of different things! I do a lot of outreach and generate lists, I basically try to get the word out to as many people as possible. I also respond to incoming requests for further information and schedule calls and get meetings on the calendar so the sales team have people to actually sell to! I manage Frank’s calendar, set up meetings and keep a tabs on follow ups. If something needs doing I also do that!
What is your favorite aspect of the company?
A: I like how we are a forward thinking company that is not just “glorified billboards”. There is so much technology and cool stuff happening in Five Tier (probably a lot that I don’t even know about!). We just have so many capabilities that are waiting to be implemented. I love how much the company has grown and developed even since I started. I think my favorite thing is having clients smile when they see themselves on the big boards on Times Square. It is a wonderful feeling to know that all of our hard work really impacts our clients in such a positive and feel good way.
What has been your most memorable experience with Five Tier thus far?
A: My most memorable thing with Five Tier would have to be attending INXX after party at NY Fashion Week 2018. Although I didn’t have much involvement it was so great to meet a client who we had worked with for the weeks coming up to fashion week and see all the hard work pay off. The party was great and it is one of those things that I’ll probably never get to go to again.
